Ke Ga, the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam, located about 20 km from the South of Phan Thiet city. Mui Ke Ga is located in Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province. The most famous attraction in Ke Ga is Ke Ga Lighthouse. Visiting this lighthouse is one of the best things to do in Vietnam. This lighthouse was built by the French in 1897, inaugurated in 1899, considered as the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam. The lighthouse is located on the island of Ke Ga, far from the mainland. Historically, Ke Ga is considered as an extremely dangerous position of the sea from Phan Rang to Vung Tau. It is assumed that the lighthouse is called Khe Ga or Ke Ga because the head of the land here has the chicken head slot.
